The Ali vs. Inoki fight was CRAZY! 🥊🥋 #shorts

A quick but in depth look at the infamous fight between Muhammad Ali and Antonio Inoki that happened in 1976.

Initially thought as a scripted fight, the battle became real when the alleged scripted finish of the fight got lost in translation: Ali refused to lose in sketchy fashion to Inoki, he wanted the fight to end cleanly: Antonio took that as an insult, thinking Muhammad Ali was belittling him.

“There’s no reharsal” these were the words spoken to Ali by Inoki’s interpreter days before the fight. The man formerly known as Cassius Clay was shocked by this sentence.

The battle was initially going to be a scripted pro wrestling against boxing bout, but a set of rules was imposed by Ali’s team on Inoki. Antonio, was limited in his actions, but during the fight, he caused damage to Ali, anyways.

This fight, started as a playful act, became the downfall of Ali’s career, and health.

By accident, this is considered to be a precursor of today’s MMA and UFC fights.
